THE PLUNGER KETTLE

Boiling only the water required represents such a saving that the Department of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) stated that:

"If everyone boiled only the water they need to make a cup of tea instead of filling the kettle every time, we could save enough electricity to run practically all the street lighting in the U.K."

Current kettle designs have two main problems:

Problem 1

•When a kettle is filled with water, it takes several minutes for the water to boil, a long wait for a quick cup or two of hot water.

•To fill only with enough water for one or two cups involves judgement and implies frequent trips to the tap for refilling.

Problem 2 - Hardness and water impurities

•Tap water is frequently hard and may carry undesirable tastes and odours. The quality of tea or coffee often suffers because of this, with scum on the surface or an unpleasant taste.

The new kettle design enables the solution of these problems

Solution 1

•The PLUNGER KETTLE is filled to the top but the only water heated is the water needed at that moment for that cup(s) of tea or coffee, giving:
•Convenient filling.
•Important time savings up to 80%.
•Large energy savings up to 80%.

Solution 2

•The plunger is used to separate the water to be heated and to pressurise it through a high flow filter additionally giving:
•The removal or reduction of water impurities.
•The filter life is determined accurately according to real use by the employment of the electronic counter.
•Very fast throughput.

The Plunger Kettle is available in silver or white and is manufactured from proven high quality components, this combined with leading edge design and technology provides both reliability and striking looks.

Designed for high speed filtering with three times the capacity of conventional water filters, the high capacity, long lasting filter is supplied pre washed from the factory, ready for use.

The Kettle currently retails for circa £65, over 700 units have been sold to date exclusively from the web site.

Replacement filters can be ordered direct from the factory with an average selling price of £10 for two. Filter replacement and purchase is seen as a huge earning potential for the life of the appliance.
