What it does:

The company carries out Mobile Grit Blasting, Power Washing, Industrial Spraying and Hot Metal Spraying to a wide-ranging customer base.
It is capable of fulfilling small item projects such as Gates, Car Parts, Wheels, Fire Surrounds, Bed-stead’s and Garden Furniture as well as fulfilling the larger contracts on Boats (Fibreglass and Steel Hulls) Bridges, Railways, Marine Equipment, Light and Heavy Plant, Machinery, Quarry Equipment, Houses, Walls, Barns, Timber Roofs, Concrete Buildings and Floors, and Swimming Pools.
It then can apply coatings from primer to a complete paint system or specialised Hot Metal spray finish to the prepared surface.

Location:

The business is based in the South West in a location giving it a strong local commercial customer base but within easy reach of the major road network covering the whole of the South West and in towards London.

Clients:

The business has approximately two hundred clients. Seventy per cent are commercial clients and the remainder private individuals. This could easily double with the addition of additional trained staff. The present owner operator has deliberately managed the operation to a size suitable for his own needs.


Customer Service

This is paramount. The business has succeeded where others failed because they are punctual, pay great attention to detail and complete the job within the agreed timeframes.
Being a mobile operation the work is usually carried out on the client’s site and completing the project with the minimum of disruption is key to retaining on going work.

Key opportunities

There is a significant amount of additional work available to a new owner who may wish to increase the number of mobile units and levels of trained staff. While the business has an active web site there is no structured sales and marketing to drive enquiry levels into the business, clearly there is a niche market and enquiries invariably turn into contracts.
